Gjirokastër is a city in southern Albania and the seat of Gjirokastër County and Gjirokastër Municipality. It is located in a valley between the Gjerë mountains and the Drino, at 300 metres above sea level. Its old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, described as “a rare example of a well-preserved Ottoman town, built by farmers of large estate”. The city is overlooked by Gjirokastër Fortress, where the Gjirokastër National Folklore Festival is held every five years.

In the morning we drive from Berat towards Gjirokaster with stops on the way. This tour was designed specifically to introduce our guests to the best of Gjirokaster town and castle, visiting the 12th century castle, feeling the atmosphere of the Old Bazaar, looking at the uniquely Ottoman and beautifully-restored, we will show and share with you some of our favorite places. Day 2
Road Trip To Sarande And The Albanian Riviera
After breakfast we drive to Blue Eye spring, one of the most beautiful natural monuments and a beautiful geological phenomenon. The Albanian Riviera is 120 km, definitely the most beautiful coastline and beaches in the country. Discover Riviera’s hidden treasures that nature has kept secret and far from the people in this Albanian Riviera Tour. We’ll visit Sarande, take a walk in the promenade, in the afternoon we will visit Porto Palermo Castle according to the Huffington Post, Porto Palermo is ranked first among 15 Undiscovered European Destinations for 2014. Then we head to Llogara pass 1000 meters overlooking at the Ionian Sea. Late afternoon we finish in Berat.
